Weapon Exchange Box

Made for the Boss Rush Jam 2024, with the theme "exchange"!

Top down shooter where you have to exchange your weapons to be able to damage the boss.

Game has 3 bosses, the controls are all told in the game (except for pausing i guess, which is escape and tab)

(can't go fullscreen on web version because i hate html5 export)

I definitely recommend the downloadable version way more than the web version, it's way less laggy, you can actually go fullscreen (with alt+enter), and there were just really weird bugs only on the web export, but, I get if you want to play the web version.

This is also my first attempt at ever making music, so the music is pretty horrible lol

UPDATE:

So, after literally everyone's feedback was that the game was too hard, and about the 50th person saying the second boss was way too difficult, I have finally decided to update the game!

The main change is that now, theres a checkpoint between every boss, but a full rush version still exists after you beat the game.

Most of the attacks are easier now, more time to react, more telegraphs for the attacks, and the attacks are more fair in general.

Thank you so much to everyone that gave feedback on the game. I knew it just needed a few more tweaks to the difficulty to make it better, so I hope people experience more than just the second boss now!

The web version is the updated game, but the old version still exists as a downloadable, if you want to try that out for whatever reason
